FRITZ HANSEN Cross Plex table lamp 30 cm high

Eye-catching acrylic Cross-Plex™ table lamp - Design: Bodil Kjær This table lamp has an impressive effect on the ambience of the room when switched on. Cross-Plex™ consists of a transparent acrylic cross, which forms the base, on which sits an angular shade, which is also made of acrylic, but unlike the base is not clear, but opal white. The light of the lamp used impressively sets the table lamp, which was already designed in 1961 by Bodil Kjær, in scene. With its timelessly beautiful design, it fits to many furnishing variants. The architect, designer and professor Bodil Kjær, who grew up in the Danish Jutland, not only studied and worked in London, New York and Washington D.C. She worked with renowned designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Paul McCobb, but also made a name for herself with her minimalist designs. Considered a classic, the Cross-Plex™ table lamp is one of her most famous designs. As she herself puts it, she wants to "create solutions for functional, economic and aesthetic problems". The manufacturing company FRITZ HANSEN from Denmark has stood for the highest quality since its beginnings in 1872, when the carpenter Fritz Hansen received a trading license for Copenhagen. Since 1979 the company has been 75% owned by Skandinavisk Holding.
