FRITZ HANSEN Kaiser Idell 6631 Luxus glossy black

Kaiser idell™ Luxus table lamp with glossy lacquered shade and chrome-plated frame This table lamp already carries the feature "luxury" in its name. The Kaiser idell™ Luxus table lamp - designed by Christian Dell (1893-1974) - is already an eye-catcher in the room when unlit, for example on the desk, where it provides effective light for office work when switched on with its asymmetrical shade with patented swivel joint. The table lamp - published in 1936 - visually embodies the popular Bauhaus style. Its creator, the German Christian Dell, a silversmith and industrial design teacher by profession, taught as a master craftsman at the Bauhaus in Weimar. The two-tone effect of this model is particularly decorative: while the shade has a glossy coloured lacquer finish, the brass frame has a decorative chrome finish. Like the complete Kaiser idell™ lamp series, the Kaiser idell™ Luxus table lamp is also manufactured by the FRITZ HANSEN company from Denmark. Since its foundation almost 150 years ago, it has stood for the production of incomparable designs by renowned designers such as Verner Panton, Kaare Klint, Cecilie Manz, Bodil Kjær and others.
