GUBI Cobra designer floor lamp anthracite

Brand: GUBI from Lights.co.uk
Floor lamp Cobra - as a new edition as ingenious as the original from 1947 The Swedish designer Greta Magnusson Grossman (1906 - 1999) was often inspired by nature for the shapes of her creations. This was the case with the floor lamp Cobra, which she created in 1947. Its head resembles that of an impending cobra: it can be rotated through 360° and sits on a flexible light arm. The direction of light can thus be freely selected and adjusted at any time. A cast-iron ballast is built into the foot for stabilisation. A foot switch is located on the cable, making it easy to operate. An original of the Good Design Award winning luminaire is still in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Greta Magnusson Grossman's originals from the 1940s and 1950s are still in great demand today and fetch high prices at auctions. The Danish lighting and furniture manufacturer Gubi offers the Cobra series in a licensed new edition. Energy efficiency class:A++
