The idea behind the Kushi light originates with Valerio Sommella and Alberto Saggia, an Italian design duo who are internationally known for their special ideas. The main material used is etched opal glass, which gives the hanging light a very soft and round shape, reminiscent of organic patterns. The glass itself acts as a diffuser that interacts with the LED board installed on the inside. The glass, consisting of two layers - each hand-blown and hand-crafted, gives rise to a rather special lighting effect.
