An original Wagenfeld table lamp as an authorised re-edition - quality and history made in Germany This Wagenfeld table lamp is a re-edition, which has been authorised by the creator and can only be made by the company TECNOLUMEN. Its authenticity is verifiable, based on the characteristic features of this lighting product. This includes the tapered lampshade (with a conical lower lampshade), which has a cap made of nickel-plated metal. The rod is made of clear glass and also has a nickel-plated 10 mm pipe inside that guides the power cable. Connected to the round base, also made of glass, is the braided black textile power cable. Another quality feature here is the characteristic spout on the socket, where the black pull-cord is located, with which the Wagenfeld table lamp can be turned on and off. At the end of the cord is also a nickel-plated bead. Only the combination of these individual components guarantees the authenticity of this designer product. For verification purposes, each lamp bears the TECNOLUMEN stamp on the bottom of the base and is consecutively numbered. The Wagenfeld table lamp is more than a lighting product. It is a lamp which brings a piece of German history into the home. A story like a good novel - the Wagenfeld table lamp The Wagenfeld table lamp tells a truly impressive story. The plot plays in the State Bauhaus in Weimar, the design college during the Weimar Republic. The leading artists of the time met there and created countless masterpieces, which are now known under the term Bauhaus design and are undisputed classics of the modern age . Their distinctive mark is the shape, which always suits the purpose, the material properties and the production method. The original Wagenfeld table lamp with its characteristic, almost hemispherical opal glass lampshade was designed by the 24-year-old journeyman Wilhelm Wagenfeld at the Bauhaus. After that he created further designs. This particular light is one of his other masterpieces from his long career as a tutor and director of various metal and glass workshops as well as professor at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin. The company TECNOLUMEN - a programme with heart The TECNOLUMEN company started with the Bauhaus style - its first product was the Wagenfeld table lamp in 1979. In addition to Wilhelm Wagenfeld’s designs, TECNOLUMEN also incorporated further Bauhaus design classics into their program - from Marianne Brandt to designers such as Walter Schnepel. Art Déco and De Stijl designs also inspire the product range of this manufacturer. Energy efficiency class:A++
