VERPAN VP Globe pendant light 40 cm

Brand: Verpan APS from Lights.co.uk
Verner Pantons VP Globe - Designer pendant luminaire from Denmark Verner Panton created a family of luminaires in the 1960s and 1970s that comprises a series of spherical pendant luminaires, all of which are based on a similar principle. The outer shell consists of a transparent acrylic sphere that allows a view of the inner workings of the luminaire. There is a system of reflectors. In VP Globe, one of the models in this luminaire family, a total of five aluminium reflectors in white, blue and orange are responsible for directing the light. They are arranged so that the light mainly escapes to the sides and less to the top or bottom. This makes the pendant luminaire particularly suitable as a room light source. Verner Panton, who was born on Funen in 1926 and died in 1998, is considered one of the most famous Danish designers of the last century. He achieved worldwide fame primarily through his furniture, e.g. the Panton Chair from the 1960s, and his lamps. He had a great enthusiasm for plastic as a material and for strong colours. His designs are now produced again by the Danish company VERPAN. Each lamp is engraved with his name and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Energy efficiency class:A++
