DISCOBOLUX Discobolus Grecian Lamp by Seletti
Based on Discobolus of Myron the Ancient Greek sculpture, this discus thrower lamp stands at an impressive 51cm tall, so would make a very large table lamp, or could easily be used as a floor lamp. The disc in the case of this lamp conceals the LED light, which is dimmable, it highlights the athletic muscular build of the subject brilliantly, and it has a very authentic marble finish, although made from a much lighter resin. Produced by Seletti and designed by Uto Balmoral known for his contemporary thought provoking designs that feature iconic characters. This lamp would look as good in a modern home as it would in a grand Georgian manor house and is both classically stylish and unashamedly kitsch.
