This emergency downlight comes with a 3.6v 1500mAh 3 cell Nicd C battery providing a 3 hour emergency duration and a 24 hour recharging time. The fascia diameter is 45mm and the cutout required is only 33-35mm depending on how the user sees suitable. This allows for discreet recessed installation in offices, schools, public buildings which typically have suspended ceilings.
