Water detector Eve Water Guard for smart integration via Apple HomeKit The Eve Water Guard reliably detects leaking water and warns in this case - thanks to the option for smart integration via Apple HomeKit - even on the go, so that a quick response is possible and the risk of water damage is reduced. The Water Guard is equipped with a plug and is supplied with power via the 230 V mains. Its two-meter cable serves as a sensor at full length and can be extended up to 150 m if necessary thanks to the end socket (see accessories). The device generates a 100 dB loud and visual alarm for on-site warning. Via Bluetooth, the water sensor is connected to the respective Apple HomeKit control center. This makes it possible via the router to receive a warning via app on the Apple smartphone or tablet in the event of a water leak. In addition, the Water Guard can be linked to scenes with other smart devices, so that, for example, the washing machine operated via an Eve socket is deactivated in the event of a water alarm. Furthermore, the Thread technology has already been installed, which is a pillar for Matter. Compared to Bluetooth, this ensures better and faster networking of the devices and creates a mesh network. Even if one device fails, it is skipped and communicates with the next one, which allows the devices to be outside the range of a border router. No bridge is required, but a HomePod mini or the new Apple TV 4K must be integrated for Thread-enabled Eve devices to communicate via Thread as well.
