Height-adjustable and swivelling designer floor lamp Coupé Joe Colombo designed this elegant looking floor lamp Coupé with semi-cylindrical aluminium shade in 1967. The shade with its golden finish is height adjustable on the rod and can be individually aligned by swivelling. The light is mainly emitted downwards through the opening in the shade, but the simple and clear design incorporates a translucent detail so that a narrow beam of light can also exit through an opening on the top of the shade. The round lamp base, which also has a gold finish, provides stability and a visual contrast to the black rods of the lamp. Designer Joe Colomo passed away in 1971. He was known for his visionary ideas of a better future. He was not only active in the lighting world, but also designed furniture, functional objects and houses.
