Clever Connect furniture luminaires in the smart home: ZigBee-enabled Clever Connect distributor Connection Box with CCT color-changing function The Clever Connect Connection Box enables up to 8 Clever Connect furniture luminaires to be integrated into a smart home system. This also works with ZigBee-enabled systems from other manufacturers, such as Philips Hue or IKEA Tradfri. Paulmann offers the smik gateway as a bridge (see accessories). The smik app is available free of charge for both iOS and Android, and is compatible with Amazon Alexa. But even without a bridge, intelligent light control, such as dimming the brightness or changing the color temperature, is possible. For this, a so-called hand-held transmitter based on ZigBee is required. Via the accessories, the remote control Gent as well as a 2-way wall switch from Paulmann are available separately for this purpose. Both furniture luminaires and LED strips from the Clever Connect series can be integrated via this distributor. In existing Clever Connect systems, only the Connection Box needs to be replaced. Otherwise, a separate Clever Connect transformer is required for operation, which can be purchased via the accessories.
