Place a bottle, glass, or cup onto the drink buddy coaster to automatically start the timer, then every 20 minutes you'll be alerted by sound and a light to lift the drink, take a drink, and sit the drink back on the coaster to reset the timer. If you leave the drink, say go out, the timer won't keep going off, it will stop after two alerts, ie 40 minutes of no more activity, to stop it going off constantly.
